This is an open Call for Submissions for a proposed volume produced in collaboration with the Ludomusicology Research Group (UK) and Intellect Publishing. It will be an edited collection of essays that offer individual perspectives on music within a broad theme of gameworld reality.
Topics might include musical histories, virtual reality concerns, methods of supporting a gameworld’s reality and narrative through music, or composition techniques. Gameworld reality could also see a focus on specific games or particular game series. A recommended point of reference for the project is Michael Austin’s Music Video Games: Performance, Politics, and Play (2016), which can be viewed via this link.
Any queries can be directed through the LSA as well, and I look forward to receiving your submissions.
If you are interested, please submit a chapter abstract of circa 250 words with a title by 30 September 2019 to me via the LSA, at info@ludomusicologysociety.com.au.
Regards,
Barnabas
